Week five of term one is coming to an end.
We had 4 tests/quizes and  I realise that  all of us actually bothered to study hard for a 15 mins quiz ><
Awesome or awesome my class/school?

LOVE THE LIGHTING AND THE BACKGROUND EFFECT.
It higlights your features and expression :)
studio 1

For CCA, Mr Loh came down to recap about the studio lightings and all the set ups.
He had to as we will be taking shots of the sec 1 kids for the passport-like photos in mid March later.
After that, he played around with the lightings and we tried corporate shots which I'm not really interested (heh, so formal!)
The best part is when we use the honeycomb lighting!!!! Which will then have the 'dramatic' hahahah I LIKE. MY STYLE \m/

Had amath consultation with Aly just now (Y) +  Common test starts already+ Amath common test next week + Presentation next week + All the best everyone + How I wish I could go to VS leaders investiture next tue but we have amath common test the next day, sigh + OH YES! WELCOMING PARTY FOR SEC1 PHOTOGRAPHERS THIS COMING MONDAY! :D:D

(I'm so dead right now, I've not start taking the 14 pix that I'm suppose to submit by this thursday!! :O)
kbye people! My birthday next friday HEHEHEHE.

Flag day today!!! It was for Caregiver Counselling Welfare Association (CCWA)
Me and Alyssa was like "Eh eh, must memorise the association's name. Later people ask...."

We started on time and we were lucky enough to get the spot/places that we wanteed as there's not many poeple asking for donations yet! HEHE SO FLAG DAY TIP #1 Be on time (cause 80% won't be on time) and you will be at the advantage, trust me (Y)

We headed to Lavendar and station ourselves in front of the ICA building. I tell you, it's one of the best places you can be at  for flag day \m/ There's so many people you can approach and of course the crowd won't go cause there's different people who come to make passports!! FLAG DAY TIP #2 Be smart and plan where you're going!! Choose strategic places like places people won't think of. (and obviously places with crowds; not deserted places lah + avoid shopping places too! cause people are there to shop, not donate -.- + the best is still, office buildings)

We started at 8.30am and apparently both of us didn't wear watch so we couldn't tell the time and realise how long we've been standing. The next thing you know you've spent 3 hours standing at that place. FLAG DAY TIP #3 Do not wear watches so that you won't keep thinking how long more you have to ask for donation...Time flies and when you finally check your hp for the time, you realise you've spend so much time standing there!

Me and Aly headed to City Hall for a break and had ljs for late breakfast. "Eh, remember this place...the first time we had our tak-menjadi brithday date heh" We wanted to shop but felt guilty so we started walking to Peninsular & Raffles City area to finish up our stickers. Surprisingly, WE DID IT! Within less than hour. There was a few people there but I totally 'stole' their customers when I started standing there. OOPSSS. FLAG DAY TIP #4 Approach people and ask for donation!!! ; Do not just stand there and display yourself and the tin.  Try this, it works " Hi Maam/Sir, would you like to donate* insert huge smile*" (people feel honoured when being called Sirs and Maams) and say Thank you after that even if they didn't donate!!

Aly and I finally decided to look at our hp watch and realise it was already time!!! We felt so accomplished and happy that we finished all the stickers without pasting it anywhere unnecessarily. Then headed back to NLB and went to Bugis street to shop for someone's birthday present HEHEHEH By 2.30 both of us look so lethargic. It rained and so we went home (:

My back was aching then but  guess what!!! I'M SUNBURNT (at the cheeks) and I only stand under the sun for like...less than hour :O
Well, anyway,  flag day was successful this year. My tin was goddamnful till no more coins/notes can be slip in ;DDD
OH RIGHT, ALL THE BEST FOR THOSE WHO ARE DOING IT NEXT WEEK!!!

kbye guys
love you (:

NUR HAZWANI.
I had my first photo session of the year and it started really (really really) good with Deanna Ng as my photo coach.
She's from the famous photo company name Objectifs. I could say, I'm pretty glad that the school (finally) calls up a professional company. And I'm really grateful that I got Deanna as my coach.

Our workshop is called The Visual Diary Workshop.

Photobucket
So she start talking about history of photography and how photography actually come about!!
She showed us alot alot of her photos!! and Photography videos. OMG DAMN COOL hehehhe \m/

She started sharing her experience as a full time photographer and guess what?
She said she's being paid to travel around the world to capture the different attractions and I start wondering,

" Wow, I can somehow see the light/pathway/way/passage way/road (haha okay i think you get it) where I can go far with my photography skills.  Perhaps my dream to travel around the world could actually turn into reality one day with my photo skills!!! "  Well, whatever it is, I just hope my love and passion for photography won't die as I grow old! :)

Oh yes, I just remembered something: "Since it's a visual diary workshop, I want you to take at least a picture a day.So, I'm expecting at least 14 fresh-taken photos by the next lesson. Is that clear everyone?"
HAHA BEST (Y)

Besides being inspired and such, we hard a selection for our next batch of photographic society exco members (:
On the other hand, school's been fine with great friends and teachers.

bye people. love you ;D

First of all I would like to congratulate everyone who just got their O level results!!
Be it seniors or my batchmate who's taking their Mother Tongue Os, CONGRATULATIONS!!
Congratulations to Kelas Apanamakita and Kelas Rock Rabak! :D

Whatever your outcome is, hope you're satisfied and you SHOULD be satisfied if you've worked hard for it!
Because hardwork is what matters most! :D :D (but sadly your amount of hardwork is not printed on the result slip)
For those who didn't really excel, hope you won't be too sad and continue working hard!! :D :D

On a much much happier note, WE MADE IT PARTNER! SO PROUD OF YOU AND MYSELF TOO!!!! ;D
This result somehow boost my confidence and give me the motivation to continue working hard for the Os.

(I hope)
Anyway, I suddenly feel so sad to think that 2009 has passed...it's really been a year full of both happy times and emotional moments. There were hard times for me especially those times coping with my academics. To sum it all, words can't really describe them. There were too many memorable things and events that happened to me that made me realise:

I am a better person. I can be a better person. I can be someone.
I realise my potential in taking photos and also acting. I have great friends. I have supportive family.
I am able to make a difference with the magic called teamwork. I am who I am.

p.s. I'm so sorry for not updating my livejournal. 2010 will be a busy year, so I won't be posting as much as I use to.

I would say... this year's graduation day was way better than last year's YAY.
(though there's still room for improvements)
anyway, MISSION ACCOMPLISED then! :D

Izzah and me were down for duties for this year's Graduation Night. It was at Meritus Mandarin Hotel.
Being the photographer for the graduation night was....pretty exciting. We got to experience the good feeling of a graduation night. Got to see pretty petty dresses and people. And also got to feel that graduation night wasn't really a big deal after all. It's just a fun and the last night you spend with your whole cohort mates (:

Love the bimbotic moments with Izzah....camwhore-ing shamelessly HAHA and sneaking out of the ballroom when we got bored of taking photos HEHE and talso aking almost an hour for a (supposedly short) break LOL. (L)

Hanging out with my dear Izzah have never been boring.
Love you Babe (:

Anyway! The night before, my family dropped by to help out at the bride's place and... I forgot how I end up overnight at the bride's place. The bride, her sister and me had a slumber party!!!! The 3 of us talked about the typical-girl-issues and laughed till late night. It was my cousin's last night before she gets married hehe. btw... It was the most slumber-est party ever because the 3 of us slept in the end hahaha.

15 November 2009.
There's no doubt that it was a really tiring day but I kinda miss it now. Everything happened so fast.
I was the bridesmaid (but I also took the opportunity to snap some photos. teehee!) Followed her everywhere from morning till evening.

Overall, it was a really good day, love it. I got more photos now, Rock on. (H)

"Alyssa, does this picture symbolises the theme Reflection? I have to submit it for a competition."
"Err...no. It's more like scared/shock/traumatised/horror"
"kay thanks."

P6 open house just now wasn't as impressing as last year's. The crowd seems to be much lesser. There were more people in the morning. Anyway, I survived about 6 hours wearing high heels greeting parents and kids in the foyer. (Y)
And how many pictures did I take today? Four. (Excellent hazwani O.O)

We packed up much earlier. The school was already cleared by 1530.
Wanted to have exco meeting but not everyone was there so headed home (:
Still considering whether I should visit my religious class' teacher to see her and her new born baby tomorrow.
anyway, CONGRATULATIONS ;D

It was the official last day of school. We had clean and green day. Cleared up of the council room. Drama practice just now (:

So many proposals to write. So many things need to be discussed. So many things to brainstorm. So many things to implement. So many things that need to be improved. So many things to settle. So many ideas to think to change mindsets. So many things to discuss to create the bond. So many things need to be done to make a change. So many things to be done to inspire.

Just. So. Many. and you know what? Just. So. Little. Time.
But hell yea WE CAN DO THIS. If there's a will there's a way.
Be The Fire, Inspire? Yes, we shall stick to do that.

Maybe not this year but we have that tiny winy months next year before we step down.
We can do it. We can do it. We can do it (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Go Council! ;D
Go Exco! ;D (L)

Dad:
" As a leader, you're suppose to be the one delegating the work to your members and not doing it all by yourself.
If you keep doing things by yourself, thinking that you're the only one who can manage it, you are actually destroying your own members. You're obstructing them to show what they are capable of and you will never know what they are capable of. "

Just overnight, my dad's words was proven right.
I was indeed impressed --- that his words was right and what my members were capable of.
Just overnight.
